Shing

I met Shing's mom, Karen, in high school.  We became fast friends even though our hometowns were almost two hours apart.  I got to attend her wedding when she married the love of her life, Andy.  This past weekend, I had the privilege of meeting their beautiful daughter, Shing, for the very first time.  She's not photogenic or anything.  ;-)  And in case you can't tell from the pictures, she's got a fantastic personality that kept me giggling all weekend!

Milanna Engel

I feel fortunate to still be close friends with people from high school.  Monett is one of those friends I still stay in touch with.  I love going down to visit the Engel family whenever I have a chance.  In 2008, Monett and Brian had a beautiful baby girl named Milanna.  As you can see, she has gorgeous blue eyes and such a fun personality to match!

Now for some scenery...

As you can probably tell, I prefer to take candid shots of people.  Every once in awhile, however, some other things catch my eye.  I know I still need LOTS of practice because I have much to learn...but that is what I am counting on all of you to help me with!  By the way, when I started adding captions, all the pictures went out of order, so I apologize.  It's late and I don't feel like trying to figure out how to fix it.

I pretty much stalked this butterfly until I could get pictures of him.  (Or maybe it's a her.)

The Myles Family

I went to college with Larry and Joanne.  Last summer, I headed to Maine for a wonderful time with them and their two children, Caed and Dani.  It's a good thing Joanne writes a blog--because between last summer and a repeat trip this summer, I took plenty of shots for her to use.  I have so many favorites, but here are just a few.  (Oh, and they just recently moved to Ohio, so now I will have to go visit them there!)
